Like Fourier analysis, wavelet filtering allows the separation of different frequency bands in the data. It is particularly well-suited for localized structures. Here, wavelet filtering successfully separates the localized, high frequency "wiggles" from the box-shaped perturbations. The results are much better than those from Fourier analysis. Please go ahead and compare to the original data in the Analysis Tool window and to the Fourier-filtered results!
