Jenifer's Quick Reference X-Files FAQ

Q. How can I get tapes?

A. Subscribe to the North American Mailing List (details below) and, _if_ you don't see the subject mentioned along with an e-mail address of a contact person, post a polite message requesting the information. A tape exchange group is being formed there now.
First season tapes have been released commercially in Japan, in a format useable in North America, but the cost is quite high.
The tapes which have been commercially released in the UK are in the PAL format, not normally used in North America without special gear.

Q: What's Chris Carter's E-mail address?

A: There isn't one he's willing to list for the general public.

Try Snail Mail:

or e-mail to Charles Kennedy, VP/Programming Research at [email protected] with Subject: X-Files to express your support. or e-mail to [email protected] to give feedback, NOT FOR SCRIPT SUBMISSIONS OR STORY IDEAS!!!!!!!!

Q: David Duchovny / Gillian Anderson E-mail addresses?

Q. FTP sites are great, but what if I can't FTP?

A. Send e-mail to Ngaire ([email protected]) with a specific request, she'll e-mail back at her earliest opportunity. She can also be reached at [email protected] if you have problems at the .nlnet address.

Q. Any other places to chat about the X-Files?

A. There's also an X-Files forum in the TV conference of The Spring. To access, telnet to and login as "new" (no quotes). You'll answer a few questions and that's that. The X-Files forum is quite new. (No charges for access.)
You may also join IRC #xf, #x-files or #syx

Web Chat pages are also available:

The new UK X-Files newsgroup is up and running, add it to your newsreader:

Q: What else have DD and/or GA done?

A: Filmographies are in the long FAQ, DD FAQ, and GA FAQ. They are also available via the Movie Database (WWW).

Q: Anyone know the title for xxxxxxx episode?

A: See the Episode Guide at the above FTP sites :). The current episode title is also found in the Weekly 20 Questions posted by Cliff Chen.

Q: Where can I drool over DD or GA in an appreciative atmosphere?

A: There are a variety of fan brigades. The original DDEB and DDEB-2 are now full. You can still subscribe to the Duchovniks list by sending a request to [email protected] stating that you would like to join the list. The Netcom listserver is prone to errors and the listowner can subscribe you automatically to prevent any errors from occurring.

Due to an amazing amount of contradictory information being sent in, I'm no longer including any information about the various GATB groups.
