Jenifer's Quick Reference X-Files FAQ

Q. How can I get tapes?

A. Subscribe to the North American Mailing List (details below) and, _if_ you don't see the subject mentioned along with an e-mail address of a contact person, post a polite message requesting the information. A tape exchange group is being formed there now.
First season tapes have been released commercially in Japan, in a format useable in North America, but the cost is quite high.
The tapes which have been commercially released in the UK are in the PAL format, not normally used in North America without special gear.

A. There's also an X-Files forum in the TV conference of The Spring. To access, telnet to spring.com and login as "new" (no quotes). You'll answer a few questions and that's that. The X-Files forum is quite new. (No charges for access.)

A: See the Episode Guide at the above FTP sites :). The current episode title is also found in the Weekly 20 Questions posted by Cliff Chen.

Q: Where can I drool over DD or GA in an appreciative atmosphere?

A: There are a variety of fan brigades. The original DDEB and DDEB-2 are now full. You can still subscribe to the Duchovniks list by sending a request to [email protected] stating that you would like to join the list. The Netcom listserver is prone to errors and the listowner can subscribe you automatically to prevent any errors from occurring.

Due to an amazing amount of contradictory information being sent in, I'm no longer including any information about the various GATB groups.
